Robert Drummond, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Drummond joined Keane in August 2018 as Chief Executive Officer.
He holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alabama, and during his career has earned a wealth of experience in positions of leadership across the energy industry. Prior to joining Keane, Mr. Drummond served as the President & Chief Executive Officer of Key Energy Services, Inc. and served for more than 30 years at Schlumberger Limited in various executive positions, including President of North America, Vice President & General Manager U.S. Land, Vice President of Global Sales, Vice President General Manager U.S. Gulf of Mexico, and President North American Offshore and Alaska.
Mr. Drummond has been a Supervisory Director at Frank’s International N.V. since May 2017, and sits on the board of directors of the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association and the advisory board for the University of Alabama College of Engineering. He has previously served on the board of directors of the National Ocean Industries Association, the Houston Offshore Energy Center, the Greater Houston Partnership, the API Upstream Committee, and as an Advisory Board Member of the University of Houston Global Energy Management Institute.
Gregory L. Powell, President & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Powell joined Keane in March 2011 as Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining Keane, Mr. Powell worked as an Operating Executive for Cerberus Capital Management L.P. During his tenure, he was responsible for partnering with portfolio companies to maximize value creation. Mr. Powell has worked across a broad set of businesses including: automotive, consumer products, technology, leasing, building products, and retail.
Prior to joining Cerberus, Greg worked for 10 years in various divisions of General Electric. In his last role with GE, he was the Chief Financial Officer for GE Aviation – Military Systems.
Richard Vaclavik, Chief Commercial Officer
Mr. Vaclavik joined Keane in January 2019 as our Chief Commercial Officer.
Richard brings a wealth of oil & gas experience to our company. He has been in the oil & gas industry for over 35 years and was most recently the Vice-President of US Geozone for Weatherford. Previously, Richard has held executive leadership positions with Roywell as CEO, Baker Hughes as Vice President of North America Pressure Pumping and Halliburton as Northeast Area Vice President, Region Vice President Gulf of Mexico, and Vice President of Business Development. He has a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Kevin McDonald, Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary
Mr. McDonald has served as Keane’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary since November 2016.
Prior to joining Keane, he served in leadership roles at Marathon Oil Corporation from 2012 to 2016, including as Deputy General Counsel of Corporate Legal Services and Government Relations, Deputy General Counsel of Governance, Compliance & Corporate Services, and Assistant General Counsel. He practiced as a partner at the international law firm Fulbright & Jaworski LLP (now Norton Rose Fulbright LLP) in 2012. Mr. McDonald previously held various counsel positions, including President & Chief Executive Officer and acting General Counsel at Arms of Hope, a nonprofit organization, from 2008 to 2012, Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Cooper Industries from 2006 to 2008, Associate General Counsel at Anadarko Petroleum from 2006 to 2008, and Managing Counsel (Litigation) at Valero Energy from 2002 to 2004. He began his career as an associate at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP between 1992 and 2001. Mr. McDonald graduated with a BS from Texas A&M University and JD from the University of Texas School of Law.
Chuck Heaton, Vice President of Human Resources
Chuck Heaton joined Keane in June 2018 as Vice President of Human Resources.
He holds a B.S. in Human Resources Management from Auburn University and has his SPHR & SHRM-SCP certification. Chuck has 30 years of human resources experience and started his career with Shaw Industries in Corporate Recruiting. In his 23 year experience in the Oil & Gas industry, he has held a variety of regional & global leadership positions with companies such as Pennzoil, Intertek, Dresser, GE Oil & Gas and FMC Technologies. Chuck was most recently the Vice President of Human Resources & Communication-North America for TechnipFMC.
Chuck has a passion for HR and extensive experience in the fields of employee engagement, talent pipeline, organizational design and development, labor relations and integrations.
Ian Henkes, Vice President of South Region
Mr. Henkes joined Keane as Vice President for Human Resources in February 2016 and was promoted to his current position in July 2017.
Prior to joining Keane, he served as Human Resources Manager for Schlumberger’s Drilling & Measurements global businesses from August 2014 to February 2016, as Vice President for North America at Pathfinder Energy Services from January 2013 to September 2014, and as Personnel Manager at Pathfinder Energy Services from September 2012 to December 2012. Prior to joining Pathfinder Energy Services, Mr. Henkes worked in various field, operations, sales, management, and HR positions around the world from 1994 to 2012. Mr. Henkes has extensive experience in wireline, logging while drilling, and directional drilling operations in North America, Latin America, and northern Europe.
Steve Hall, Vice President of East Region
Mr. Hall joined Keane in 2017 as the Vice President of Operations for the East region based in Pittsburgh, PA.
Prior to joining Keane, Mr Hall spent 33 years with Schlumberger in a wide variety of roles. He held the position of Region Vice President for the California and Northeast basins starting in 2011 and 2015 respectively. This provided involvement in the entire upstream business segments – drilling, completions and production. Before returning to the US for these OFS roles he held several positions overseas from 2005 to 2011. He served as WL Operations Manager for the Qatar Geomarket and later as Corporate Lean implementation manager and Quality systems manager in Paris. Earlier in his career he held positions in Sales, Marketing, Technical Support and line management covering regions in the US and Latin America.
Mr. Hall has a Masters in Business Administration from Tulane University and a Chemical engineering degree from WPI. He is still involved with the Energy Institute at Tulane’s Freeman Business school by way of an Advisory Board seat.
Haitham Soliman, Vice President of Wireline Product Line
Mr. Soliman has served as Vice President of Wireline for Keane since January 2018. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Alexandria University. He started his career with Schlumberger as a Wireline Field engineer, working in different basins in the US.
In 2009, he began his international venture in Egypt serving as the QHSE manager for ThyssenKrupp. In 2010, he moved to Libya with Camco, managing their sales team. He returned back to the US, when things got unstable in Libya, to start his journey with Weatherford in the beginning of 2011. He held several positions with WFT, including Ops Manager, Area Operations Excellence Manager, Area Operations Manager, before going back overseas as Wireline Country Manager for Saudi Arabia. His last role with WFT was – Geozone Manager, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Mr. Soliman brings almost 20 years of extensive domestic and international experience in Wireline, Slickline, Testing, and Production Optimization.
Louis Wilpitz, Vice President of Frac Product Line
Mr. Wilpitz was promoted to Vice President of Frac Product Line in October 2018. Previously he has served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Keane since December 2016.
He was promoted to this role from the position of District Manager—Permian Basin, having grown his career at Keane from his beginnings as an In-House Engineer in 2013.
Prior to working for Keane, Mr. Wilpitz worked for Mission Well Services as a Field Engineer and later Technical Sales Engineer from 2011 to 2013.
He began his work in oilfield services at Halliburton in 2010, where he served as a Frac Field Engineer in the Completions division.
Mr. Wilpitz gained his earliest oil and gas experience in leasing and acquisition of minerals, working as an associate landman. Mr. Wilpitz has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from LeTourneau University.
John Lewis, Vice President of Health, Safety & Environmental Operations & Compliance
John joined Keane in February 2019 as VP of HSE Operations & Compliance. He brings over 16 years of oilfield services experience and 26 years of leadership experience to this role. He started his career as non-commissioned officer in the US Army infantry for 10 years and then joined Schlumberger in 2003 leading hydraulic fracturing crews in Wyoming. John then joined Diamondback in 2007 to start their pressure pumping business and then they acquired Superior Well Services in 2009. John started as their Stimulation Services Manager then as a District Operations Manager in the Barnett and Eagleford shale districts.
Nabors acquired Superior in 2010 and John became a Regional Operations Manager/Director-Completions & Production Services for the Eagleford & Permian Basin. He then joined Baker Hughes in 2011 as the Geo Market Operations Director for six operations’ facilities which supported three different product lines. In 2016, he was asked to become the Director of QHSE for Pressure Pumping in North America.
In his previous role before joining Keane, John was asked in 2017 to become the Director of HSE Global Operations in North America as part of the new BHGE (Baker Hughes-General Electric). He led a team of over 70 HSE, transportation & compliance professionals supporting all operations in the North American portfolio.
Allen Crum, Director of North Region
Mr. Crum has served as Director – North Region for Keane since December 2018.
He was promoted to this role from the position of Sales Manager – North Region, having grown his career at Keane following the acquisition of RockPile Energy Services in July 2017. During his time at RockPile, Mr. Crum served as District Engineer and later Sales Manager over a period from 2013 to 2017. He began his work in oilfield services at Schlumberger, where he served as a Field Engineer in the Williston Basin. Mr. Crum graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
Phung Ngo-Burns, Chief Accounting Officer
Ms. Ngo-Burns has served as Chief Accounting Officer of the Company since March 2017.
Prior to joining Keane, Ms. Ngo-Burns served as Senior Director with Alvarez and Marsal since 2012. From 2002 to 2012, Ms. Ngo-Burns served as Chief Financial Officer of Ability Holdings, Inc. and held several executive roles in the finance department of ExpressJet Holdings, Inc., including as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Ngo-Burns brings nearly 30 years of accounting experience to the Company and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Houston and a B.S. in Business and Accounting from Oklahoma State University.
James Stewart, Executive Chairman
After receiving his BSEE degree from the University of Mississippi in 1984, Mr. Stewart began a 22-year career with Schlumberger. During his career with Schlumberger, he held senior leadership positions across the globe. Mr. Stewart led operations in the USA, Europe, North Africa, West Africa, Russia, and CIS. During the course of his Schlumberger career, he has lived in the USA, Nigeria, Angola, Paris, and London.
In 2006, Mr. Stewart became Vice President of Integrated Drilling Services for Weatherford International based in London and Dubai where he created and managed a global business unit that included a 50-rig international land contract drilling group and a global project management team. This group operated in more than 10 countries with a primary focus on the Middle East and North Africa.
From July 2007 to end of 2009, Mr. Stewart served as the President and CEO of Foxxe—a privately held international land drilling company based in Houston, Texas, with primary operations in Mexico. Foxxe had six high-efficiency land drilling rigs contracted and grew to more than 200 employees. The company quickly became an industry leader in high-efficiency drilling in Mexico and was acquired at the end of 2009.
Mr. Stewart joined Keane in March 2011 as Chairman and CEO and became Executive Chairman in August 2018.
Paul DeBonis, Advisor to the Chairman
Mr. DeBonis started his oil and gas career with Dowell Services in the fracturing and cementing departments.
He has worked in several basins throughout the US and Canada, including Rock Springs, Wyoming; Vernal, Utah; Commerce City, Colorado; Grand Prairie, Texas; Alberta, Canada; Denver, Colorado, and most recently Appalachia.
Mr. DeBonis has held several positions over his 29-year career, including the Oilfield Services Marketing Manager at Schlumberger, President of Pure Energy USA, President of Big Country Energy Services USA.
He was previously the Chief Operating Officer at Keane, and currently holds the position of Advisor to The Chairman.
Mr. DeBonis earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in management from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, in 1982. He was a Schlumberger Field Engineer Graduate in 1985. Mr. DeBonis has also authored and published two SPE papers focused on fracturing.
