A private company with growth opportunity
In 2011, Keane became a part of a private equity investment portfolio, operating only in the Marcellus area.
Expansion into Bakken and Permian plays
Keane leadership set plans in motion to expand into additional markets. We added wireline as a service offering and established operational bases in the Bakken and the Permian.
Rapid growth with acquisition of Trican US assets
Exponential growth came with the acquisition of Trican Well Service's US assets in March 2016, which increased our Keane team population from 458 to 954 and brought our fracturing capability to approximately 950,000 HHP. Through this acquisition, we also established operations in the Mid-Con.
Keane Group goes public
In January 2017, Keane began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol "FRAC."
Acquisition of RockPile complements Keane's efficiency
In July 2017, Keane acquired RockPile Energy Services, a provider of high-quality completion services. Through this strategic business development, we increased our hydraulic fracturing capability to approximately 1.2 million HHP.
