Ongoing Commitment

Keane prides itself on an outstanding commitment to Health, Safety and Environment and it is through this commitment we’ve been able to achieve consistent world-class HSE results.

HSE Management System

The Keane Group Management System defines the principles by which we conduct our operations safely and efficiently.HSE-Management-System-chart-450x450

I want to emphasize that every employee is empowered and expected to manage the safety and health of themselves and our employees and protection of the environment as they have been trained regardless of their level in the company.” – James Stewart, CEO Keane Group

The Keane Group Management System compromises of eight major components as indicated in the chart to the right. At Keane we value these components and it is these components that our Management team uses to communicate the HSE philosophy to all employee, customers, contractors, and third parties associated with our business.

Environmental Improvements

As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment, Keane is continuously working towards reducing the environmental impact of our daily operations.

Our fleet includes US EPA-certified Tier IV pump engines, which reduce CO2 emissions. We use red zone cameras and a state-of-the-art dust suppression system as further measures to reduce our footprint.

Red Zone Cameras

The “red zone” or “hot zone” is the area defined as; dangerous while under pressure. This would include the main line, manifold trailers, well head iron, fluid ends and pump iron.

At Keane we recognize the potentially operational dangers of these areas and have implemented using the NVS Center camera system which allows for the safe monitoring of the equipment in the red zone during high pressure pumping.

Dust Suppression System

In Hydraulic Fracturing operations, the use of sands is required. Loading, unloading and pumping sand is used frequently. Our dust suppression system allows for reduced dust emissions during these processes thus reducing our operational environmental impact.

HSE Performance

At Keane, our top priority is safety. We diligently record our safety performance records which allow our HSE team to provide immediate consolidation of HSE information and improve our overall safety performance. Below are just a few examples of our HSE recorded documentation.

We have maintained a strong safety record even as our employee base increased by 137% over the past three years. From the beginning of 2013 to 2015, our TRIR and lost time incident rate (“LTIR”) dropped by approximately 30% and 50%, respectively, and, for the year ended December 31, 2015, our TRIR and LTIR statistics were 0.50 and 0.12, respectively.
